Biographical
then moved us to La Jolla where I attended Stella Maris Academy 1949-1956 and St Augustine High School 1956-1960. I learned to surf in 1953 on a homemade board . My mentor was Jim Fisher, originally from Santa Cruz, who rode the largest wave ever then photographed at Makaha, in 1958. I developed a lifelong passion for surfing, poetry, and literature.
I graduated from San Diego State University in 1966 with Honors, (English Literature). Received NDEA (National Defense Education Act) Graduate Fellowship University of Utah.
I have discovered people and poetry again. Today I work more with non- profit groups and interesting people, less with developers. I am still happily married to Marguerite (29 years 5/26/2001). One day at a time, I have learned to chop wood and carry water, in a real estate way. I have learned that real estate is a humane science, that being useful is an end in itself. |
